About Spam Prevention
In order to maintain the security of this website, we must collect information about potential attacks to help block and prevent them. If suspicious network activity is detected, the IP address associated with it will be recorded and stored for up to 30 days. If the suspicious activity was confirmed to be an attack, the IP address will be stored permanently in order to prevent repeated abuse. On certain pages, this information will also be processed by Cloudflare and handled according to their Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

About Submitted Data
When you voluntarily submit data to Unfolding Bytes, that information is used strictly for the purpose it was submitted for.
- When you subscribe to receive email updates about new content, your email address is stored securely on this server and used only to send you updates. These addresses are never shared with third-party service providers or marketers, and are permanently deleted when you unsubscribe.
- When you submit an inquiry through the contact form, this information is treated as an email message and is stored in the recipient’s inbox until they delete it. If you provide a name and/or return address, it’s used only to respond to you.
- If you’re a registered author, you have the ability to submit public content to this server. Any images or posts you submit are made available for anyone to access.

Contact Information
This includes your email address, username, and full name. This is used to send you important updates about your account and to credit your work. You can configure which name is publicly shown from your account dashboard. Your email address is kept private and used for account notifications, management, and recovery. A hashed version of your email address will also be shared with Gravatar to retrieve your profile picture, if available. It’s not shared or used for any other purpose. This information is kept indefinitely, unless you request the deletion of your account.
Published Work
This includes any posts, images, or files you upload to Unfolding Bytes. This information is made publicly accessible and can be viewed by anyone, and is kept until you remove it or request its deletion.
